I am… disappointed. Kinda. A tiny little bit.

It’s just that… crap. My excitement had gone off the charts ever since Nellie announced her “Lights” music video and I was totally expecting something fantastic and awesome and mindblowing and supermegafoxyawesomehot and, like, today I rejected an offer to hang out with my homies just to be sure that I’d be able to chat with Nellie and watch the video when it was released and I’m aware that I’m rambling right now but… yeah, it ended up being underwhelming.

I mean, sure, Nellie and the music video’s director probably worked really hard to get it done and I’m happy that her dreams as slowly coming true but… eh, I don’t know. Like one of my closest e-buddies (and a Nellie crazy fan as me) put it: “I am kinda speechless… in a not-very-good way.”

I feel so bad for thinking like this but I can’t help it. Maybe my expectations were too high… I don’t know. Maybe I love Nellie too much and demand nothing less than inhuman perfection from all that’s related to her (because, let’s be real, she’s inhuman perfection… as in god-like perfection). But the sour taste’s still there no matter how hard I try to shift the context.

Nellie, if you read this I love you to infinity and beyond <3 please don’t take this as hate but as an honest opinion from a very loving fan of yours. That has to count for something, right?
